It's Summer and The Living Is...

I wish I could say it was easy like the George Gershwin song Summertime:

Summertime,
And the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high

In our case the corn is high, but summer has lost that easy feeling. Maybe it's the new work schedule and spending days in the city away from our garden and all the nature that fits in our backyard. I grabbed this shot of a favorite barn on one of our rides and looking at it makes me wish we could spend this weekend soaking up all the good summer stuff like swimming and stopping for ice cream at our favorite stand. Sadly, it looks like this is going to be a working weekend which may be what's fueling my end of summer blues.
