More Snow on the Way

If the weather report is to be believed, more snow is on the way. I wished it had come during the long weekend instead of the beginning of the work week. It would have been nice to be tucked in for the storm.

Snow Satisfied

Okay, it may not have been the "massive" snow event that was giving news casters something to do yesterday, but there is a healthy amount of snow on the ground. Now, I'm trying to gear up for the sledding I promised the little one. Luckily, she is still sleeping. Time for cup of coffee number two and a little quiet before the sled comes out.

Where's the Snow?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm disappointed that the big storm seems like a big bust. I'm sure people living areas where they are going to be shoveling ten inches of snow tomorrow would disagree, but I was hoping for a little more snow.

My daughter's homework assignment this weekend was to play in the snow. I was expecting to wake up tomorrow to some deep snow and all prepared to get the sled out and brave some hills. Last time I checked it was snowing lightly and the grass was still peeking through the snow. So much for the big blizzard.

Oh, and how crazy is this image of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Japan? Now that's snow.

Just Add Snow

Suddenly it feels like winter in a big way. Nothing like temperatures in the teens to make the cheeks rosy. Thank you arctic cold spell.

Now it just needs to snow and we can say we had a winter this year.

Wishing for Some Real Snow

Yes, I know it's a pain for getting around but it's also beautiful. I would love to go sledding with the little one this year. Come on January act like the winter month you are!

It's here, the snow is here!

Finally! You can still see some grass peeking through but a least there's snow and it looks and fels like winter..

Where is Winter?

I'm sure a lot of people are happy with the unusually mild weather here in the north east but I could personally use a snow day.

I'm really hoping to get a snowman, some sledding and a few snow angels in this year! Here's hoping winter kicks in for a few weeks. I'm ready to go out and do a snow dance.

Super Snow with Ice on Top

I think I'm going to remember this as the winter of super snow. It just keeps coming and I'm sure a lot of people have had it. Spending two hours digging a car out of snow the other day almost put me over the edge. Today's ice storm may be the final straw.

What did our little furry friend the ground hog have to say today? I'll have to check. What ever his prediction, I've resigned myself to the fact that more snow is on it's way. So I'm going to try and forget all the inconveniences and remember how beautiful it can be. Happy Ground Hog Day everyone!
