When life gives you shade make a moss garden. Well at least that's what I've decided to do. There's a patch of lawn, well there used to be a patch of lawn, on the side of the house that has been lost to shade. The trees have gotten huge and now there is just dirt, woodland weeds, a few sad patches of the dense shade grass I tried growing. Oh and moss. Lots of moss.
So I've decided to go with the flow and maybe help nature a little along the way and cultivate a moss garden. I would be very pleased if my garden looked anything like the famous moss gardens at Saiho-ji Temple in Kyoto Japan pictured above. I have a long way to go but I'm going to post pictures of my progress.
