Spring Windows

  I'm eager to get started planting our garden and looking forward to moving our geranium plant outdoors where it will certainly be happier. A little longer and the plants can look in the windows instead of out of them again.

A Fresh Coat of Paint

I think the perfect space may be a gallery with freshly painted white walls and very little else. I remember painting the studio walls white in art school. It was easy since you didn't have to worry about trim and the floors were already covered in paint

House painting is another story. I've spent the past two weekends painting a room and still need to finish the trim. I really hate house painting. All of it. The prepping, taping, cutting in, painting and clean up. Except the final product. There is something so wonderful about a fresh coat of paint pristine gallery or tv room at home.

This Weeks Happy Place

I'm headed for warmer climes this week, at least mentally. My happy place this week takes me to Capri. I'm going to bask in some much needed warmth. If the cold weather eases up a bit, I'll be happy to return home in time for Easter this weekend.

Time to Think Easter Eggs

 

Easter is so early this year so we are going to dye Easter eggs this weekend. Hard to believe the Easter bunny is due to visit next week end. It doesn't really feel like Spring yet with cold weather and snow, but we will break out the PAAS dyes and get to work.

Reading Room #5: Angels and Insect's

An A.S. Byatt novel came to mind as the perfect reading material to pair with this Victorian inspired greenhouse. I think I would read few chapters of the novella "Morpho Eugenia" from Byatt's "Angels and Insects". It would be easy to imagine one had slipped into the conservatory described in the novella to spy on a the building and unraveling of a marriage within the Alabaster house hold.

March Plays the Lion

In like a lion now where's the lamb. I think I have finally had my fill of winter. I certainly hope the Easter bunny doesn't leave tracks in the snow.
