Yeah for Yellow

The forsythia and daffodils in bloom outside reminded me how upbeat yellow is. They also made me realize that while I like the color, oddly I don't have any yellow objects in my space. Okay, maybe a crayon and there is a yellow t-shirt some where that I look awful in. Yellow is definitely not my color when it comes to clothing, but I might just decide to add some to my surroundings.

I have always been in love with that creamy yellow (the background in the LOVE picture), but boy do i look horrible in clothes that color.

I have for the last few years been painting my living room in yellow or golden shades, as it is supposed to be a very good feng shui color for your main living space. I will say that it does always make the room seem a bit brighter. Not sure I will be able to pull that off in Florida, but I can probably add some yellow accents here and there...

I swear yellow is impossible to wear unless you have olive or dark skin or are a Hollywood starlet. I love the color but it's not meant to be in my closet.

Yellow and homes is a whole other story. I always love to see a beautiful yellow home although I don't think I would opt for it on a house of my own (dream on). But I do love yellow rooms.

One of the most amazing yellow rooms I have ever seen is Monet's dining room at Giverny. The yellow is so vivid, yet it is a perfect backdrop for all of the Japanese prints on the walls.

I agree that yellow may not work so well in Florida. It's plenty hot already without upping the warm factor with yellow. Accents sound like the way to go.

I can't wear yellow, but I have a little yellow bar cart in the living room that makes me smile.
